Upchurch Scientific® stainless steel frits are available in several porosities: 0.5, 2, 10, and 20 µm.
While all Upchurch Scientific® stainless steel frits are capable of withstanding pressures >5000 psi (>345 bar), the actual pressure holding capacity of each frit is usually dependent on the filter body in which it is placed.
Upchurch Scientific® Frit-In-A-Ferrule™ seal and filter simultaneously and can filter at any point in your system where ¹/₁₆ or ¹/₈" Ext.Ø tubing is used in a flat-bottom 1/4-28, M6 or 5/16-24 connection. For more information and a listing of these products, search using '53501-430'.
Most of these frits include either a PCTFE, ETFE or PEEK polymer sealing ring and many have the common 0.250"(0.64 cm) and 0.254"(0.64 cm) Ext.Øs, which allow them to be used in Upchurch Scientific® precolumn and inline filters. Choose frits with larger diameter faces and/or larger porosities for faster flow rates. Smaller diameter faces and/or smaller porosities are ideal for applications sensitive to extra flow path volume
Información para pedidos: The thickness dimension shown in the frit drawings represents the thickness of the frit disc, not the frit ring. Frit rings are slightly thicker to ensure a proper seal. When tightenened, into a filter holder the ring compresses to the thickness of the frit disc.
